This is the independent project that I made with a group of classmates in my senior year of high school. This was the first project we worked on where there was no strict theme assigned to us. For the first time, we had to come up with a project from scratch. That meant the project's genre was entirely up to us, the student. The only requirements that were expected were for us to use everything we've learned before this project. That meant using the technical aspects of film (such as making sure the audio, editing, and lighting served a purpose) to tell a clear and engaging story. The project is about trying to bring a kids imagination come to life. In the film, the kid is in the real world drawing a treasure map with a set of obstacles. She must pass all the obstacles on her map to get to the treasure at the end. Throughout the film, we see the perspective of the kid continually switching from the real world and her imagination while she attempts on her quest to obtain the treasure.
